New in September

English Teacher Season 1 (September 2)

What is it about? Evan Marquez is an English teacher in Austin, Texas, who often finds himself at the intersection of the personal, professional and political aspects of working at a high school.

Gay, in what way? This new comedy series stars gay comedian Brian Jordan Alvarez as Evan, a gay high school teacher.

Where to watch? Watch new episodes on FX.

Lover of Men (September 6)

What is it about? This film examines the intimate life of America's most consequential president, Abraham Lincoln. I think we all know what that means…

Gay, in what way? As told by preeminent Lincoln scholars and never before seen photographs and letters, the film details Lincoln’s romantic relationships with men. FINALLY!

Where to watch? In theaters.

Selling Sunset Season 8 (September 6)

What is it about? This season, “the luxury real estate market is in crisis.” Oh, my! But despite this drama, I am sure most of us are tuning in for one reason…or maybe two?

Gay, in what way? Queer real estate queen Chrishell returns and I am almost positive her wife G-Flip will make an appearance too.

Where to watch? Stream on Netflix.

Amazon MGM Studios

My Old Ass (September 13)

What is it about? In this fresh coming-of-age story, an 18th birthday mushroom trip brings free-spirited Elliott (Maisy Stella) face-to-face with her wisecracking 39-year-old self (Aubrey Plaza).

Gay, in what way? The movie promises queer confusion, joy, mess, and yes, yearning. All of which? We love!

Where to watch? In theaters.
